To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of the Reform Immigration FOR America Campaign in support of the Gatekeeper Foundation and the film entitled “The 800 Mile Wall”.  I believe that this film will serve as a critical educational and motivational tool to engage Americans in local communities across the United States in the effort to reform our nation’s broken immigration system.

I had the opportunity to work and live near the border in Tucson, Arizona earlier this decade, and I saw first hand the dynamics in play along the border that have forced thousands of migrants into impossible and deadly situations.  “The 800 Mile Wall” captures well the impact that America’s immigrant and border policies have had on migration and the human rights catastrophe that resulted.

We strongly support the national tour of the film and will be extending the services and resources of our local affiliates to the foundation to ensure the greatest impact possible.  Past experience has shown us that as a result of the campaign’s participation your grant dollars will go farther. We urge your participation in this worthy endeavor.

I earnestly hope that the Gatekeeper Foundation and its local partner organizations across the nation will be able to share this film with more Americans and create the space for real discussion about what America’s immigration and border policy means for the people impacted by it, for American’s that still believe they are not impacted by it, and for who we are as a nation.

Sincerely,
